Okay, so i don't think i've ever in my life had so much fun as i did the afternoon i found Tasha carving a spear with her pocket knife and jumped on board to go spear us some fish! lol The men had not had much luck at all with fishing the pole way in the lake so we were gonna show em how it was done. I have to admit, I joined in for the sake of a good laugh in the beginning. Much to my surprise, the spearing fish thing was really happening! It was actually pretty simple. Tyson and Kelsey were building dams in the stream and scaring them out of there hiding places while Tasha and I speared away. The only problem being that the fish didn't come out on the spear, somebody had to dig in and pull them out. It wasn't gonna be me, no way, no how. So Tasha knew she was the only one gonna do it so she did! It was seriously the most hilarious thing I have ever layed eyes on watching her lay on the ground and reach in and pull out one fish at a time. She would grab hold of them and fling them about 10 feet behind us on to the ground. It was yet another gratifying moment of our trip, knowing that if necessary we could survive in the wilderness on our own. The greatest pleasure came from seeing the look on Scott and David's face when we met them lake side with there poles in hand and our fish hanging from our spears. They were speechless! lol

I have to admit, i'm not much of a fish eater except for Salmon served to me on a plate at a nice restaurant or grilled on a barbecue grill with lots of yummy seasoning. But, when you go to the work of spearing them, you have to partake of them to feel complete. We cooked them different ways, over open flame and also fried some up in a pan. Yum!

YUCK! You are a brave woman. Hopefully you packed some diet coke to wash it down. Knowing you, you did:) LOL. Looks like fun!
Okay, that's just gross. The spearing would be fun, but chopped up chunks of fish? Again, that's just GROSS!! Enough said.
