Shoshone Falls

While we were in Idaho we visited Shoshone Falls Park! These falls are actually higher than Niagra Falls. Not much else to say about it except it was pretty to look at for a minute and a really nice park! The kids seemed to enjoy it. The falls flow into the Snake River! You know, the river Evel Knivel tried to jump on his motorcycle. We have also visited that spot before. It was at this park that we decided to bring James home with us for a couple of weeks. He is a great Kid and we have luved having him around.

Twin Falls Temple

Over the past few weeks we have had some fun dayz. Besides the 24th, we took a trip up to Idaho to attend the Twin Falls Temple open house with Nanny. That is the temple Nanny & Poppy will be workers in. Now they don't have to drive to Boise anymore to work at the Boise temple. They only have to go about 40 miles from there home in Paul to Twin Falls. We met up with Susan, Tara, & James and had lunch before we all went to see the Temple. It was obviously a very beautiful and spiritual experience. That is until Sophie took off running through a special curtain in one of the rooms and I about died!!!! HOly Cow, we had men running from every directions to try and stop her! Oh Dear! There was also an individual that puked all over in the Celestial Room on the plush White carpet. Nasty! The spirit must have hit them pretty Strong! Anyway, it was a great experience for the boys and i'm so glad we made the journey up there.

Reservoir FuN!!

Vic and I decided we wanted to take the little people to the park yesterday! What a great idea, NOT! It was seriously like 942 degrees outside and at least that on all the playground equipment. So we packed up and went to the reservoir! It was so much fun! I think were going to be spending more time there this summer.

Pioneer Day continued...

After our fun afternoon at PrimRose, Sophie came home and crashed. David took Bailey, Bridger & James over to Salem Pond to swim and take the canoes out. They had a great time! When all the little people woke up we put up the tropical paradise pool and they took a dip.

After swimming we had a big barbecue with lots of yummy food! Then we packed some treats and drinks and walked over to the Sports Park for some live music before the fire works. The kiddos had fun running around and playing on the fields dancin to the music. Uncle Lou bought them all light up necklace thingy magiger bobbers and 3D firework watchin glasses. Sophie put them on and started reachin to grab. It was the cutest thing. When they were all played out (or mommy was) we walked back home and set up for the fireworks. We have a great view from our driveway. I can't wait till we have a lawn to sit on! Anyway, we had a huge box of fireworks of our own that Pyromaniac David set off and then we enjoyed the city fireworks. It was a great night and we enjoyed spending it with family and friends. My camara battery died so I didn't get any pics of the little people doing sparklers. Poor little Kayley got burned by one. It was so sad. But she was a trooper and got all fixed up and forgot about it.

Pioneer Day

We started off bright and early with the Parade! It was alot of fun sitting with our good friends and family! The kiddos all had a blast! Sophie really liked seeing the princesses! I luv having a Girlie Girl!

After the parade Sophie and I went to a Special Princess Tea at PrimRose with some of our best friends. They had the Spanish Fork Royalty there visiting with all the little girls. They luved it! The food was Fabulous! I especially luved the cranberry scones. Sophie's favorite part was the cupcakes! What a Cheeser!

After lunch we got to go into the "Spoiled Rotten" part of the Spa and the girls had tons of fun dressing up and strutten their stuff on the RunWay! They had princess dresses in every size, shape and color. It was a blast!

Sophie also got her face painted like a kitty. She sat so still and looked so cute!

It was a super fun event and she played so hard... she was exhausted!

Sophie's Broken Head, Part 3

Sophie had her follow up Cat Scan and visit with the Neurosurgeon at PCMC today! Yeah! The hematoma is gone! Her body did what it was supposed to and absorbed all the blood. Yeah! Okay, but her skull fracture is still in the healing process, so any thought of loosing the helmet after today's visit is long gone. Dr. Kestle said it would be at least another 4 weeks of being super duper careful and not hitting her head again for it to heal up right. So, I'm marking August 11th on my calender in big Red Markings! We are well on our way to a full recovery! Yeah!
This is a picture of Sophie's fracture. You can see the natural seams in her skull on both sides and the fracture in the middle. It is more jagged on the top part of her head. OUCH!

Hikin the High Uintas ...Part 2

David was on cloud nine this entire trip! This stuff runs through his veins! He's a Pro Packer!

We did lots of fishin, but we had to hike a little to Ramona Lake to actually catch any! It was fun!

This is the view on our hike back to camp from Ramona Lake. It was so Beautiful!

This is a picture of Kitchen Rock! Nobody is allowed to sit on, per David! It's where the little stoves sat and boiled our water for all of our yummy delicious "Mountain House" dehydrated food, hot chocolate and oatmeal!

This was our water source. A little stream that ran through the meadow we camped by. We pumped water a few times a day for drinking, cooking, and bathing.

This is part of the meadow we camped by. David and Scott enjoyed some father-son time there one afternoon.

Tasha and Kelsey in there rock chair they found that overlooked Island Lake.

Our Boy Scout Tyson showing off his Knife. He was such a trooper!

We all had a ton of fun! I can now proudly say that I have graduated from a Betty BookBAg to a Holly Handbag and working my way up to a Larry LunchSak and someday a Pro Packer like DAVID & SCOTT!

The End!

Sophie's Photo Shoot

So once again, Britty has totally floored me with her amazingly wonderful talent! She is the greatest! We are so lucky to have her apart of our family, not just for her photography skills, but because she is just an over all Awesome Person! I luv the way she is able to capture Sophie's personality in these works of art! I can't wait to have these plastered all over my walls! Thank You Britty!
