DaMask!

Okay, so i have a serious addiction to DaMask pattern right now. Everytime I find new paper or a background that even so much as resembles it, you'll know it, cause it'll be sure to show up on this blog. I found Sophie's big girl bedding and it is so freakin cute. It is DaMask print as well. Maybe one of these days i'll wake up and think "what was I thinking", but then again, maybe i won't!

Growing UP! (way to fast)

Alas, the Potty Training is complete. Little Miss is Potty Trained. Oh, it is such a huge job, but so well worth all the blood, sweat & tears that went into it. No, really the task was much easier than I anticipated. It helped that we stayed home like hermits. And we can't forget the PINK potty, since pink is her favorite color and all. It was a huge incentive. She was overly excited when we went potty chair shopping to find a pink one. I've never been a fan of potty chairs, but with her, it was completely necessary. She is so independent at home that I cannot help her at all. She doesn't even let me in the bathroom when she needs to go. "Gout Mommy", that was heard regularly and still is. She's only had three accidents in the past few weeks! YEAH! I laugh every time we go out and have to use a public bathroom, she makes the funniest comments. Today, on our way to Sandy, we had to get off the freeway and find the nearest gas station, the facilities were not the finest by any means. The first thing she said when we walked in "Nasty". And the toilet wasn't a magic one like the other public potties she has become accustom to. (The ones that flush automatically) Come on, even the local park has magic toilets. Anyway, I will continue to be "Potty Police" for the next few weeks, but after that, I'm turning in my badge!

Easter Sunday

It's hard to beleive that Easter has already come and gone. It seems so early celebrating it in March. I have to say it's always a privlage to attend church, but on Easter and Christmas it always seems to me to be just a little more special. Nursery was super fun with all the kiddos looking extra spiffy in there new Easter attire. I know I don't have to be in there every Sunday, but I have already come to luv these little ones so much I can't leave. It was such a special experience to be apart of teaching these innocent little ones about the resurrection of Christ and telling them the story of the First Easter. Even though they probably didn't understand much, they were so sweet and peaceful, sitting so reverently and listening so intently. It was a great day!

The boys were with there dad this year (boo hoo), so we skipped baskets until after church. Sophie got her basket and just kept saying "oh my gosh" over and over again. I tried so hard to get her to pose for me in her new little Easter dress, but she wouldn't give. I even took her outside thinking she would like it better and she would just shut her eyes. David finally sat her up on the back of one of the chairs in the living room where she couldn't get off and I was able to snap a few. We had the best Easter dinner. We slow cooked a beef brisket (first time for me) and it was super tasty. Sophie took a really long nap so David and I were able to watch "I am Legend" in its entirety without interruption. That was an early b-day present for David and he was aching to watch it all weekend. Other than that, we just enjoyed each others company.

Easter!

We all had a great Easter Weekend! It was a very busy Saturday! Sophie got to help me color eggs for the first time ever and she was so excited about it. She kept dropping the egg in the color and luved it when it would splash everywhere. Yah, not so much fun to clean up. She was obsessed with the pink color, so a majority of our eggs were pink. Bridger luvs it though. He is our pink luver too. The boys were off to the hunt at 9:00am sharp and then on to our annual Easter party! It was so good to see everybody and enjoy such a beautiful day. A little chilly, but still super nice with the sun shining bright. David got a little red on his head and so did Soph. We played all the fun games we do every year. The fave seems to be the balloon stomp. There are lots of cheaters, but still fun! The food was yummy of course and the kids all got tons of treats to top it all off. The ultimate was the big kids money hunt! I think Dan & Britty took it this year with $30.00 between the two of them. There's still a $10.00 egg out there somewhere. It will be fun to see if we find it next year. Sophie had a blast hunting for the eggs and following Jackson around everywhere he went. It's always fun to see the little ones hunt for the eggs and get so excited when they find them. Nobody got thrown in the pond this year, but Dan did fall in coming back from a canoe ride with Bailey and Jackson. So we did have one wet body this year, unfortunately not caught on tape like last years with Drew & Adam. All in all it was a great Day!

Missionary Update!

So, we just got an email from Cody and he has been made District Leader and is now serving in Pittsburg in an area called Beechview. This will be a good change for him. He refers to it as being "tight". I suppose that means really good or cool or something. Anyway, his new comp. is Elder May, also from Utah, and he is also apparently "tight". He is in a walk area again, and guesses that the Pres. thought he was getting a little chub and now has him walking up some hills that are like straight up and down. Again, he feels this is very "tight"! He is not thinking his new pad is to "tight" though. He refers to it as "super duper nasty, i might as well live in a toilet." This is where I would have failed as a missionary. Due to my Germaphobic disorder, living in a toilet would have broken the deal! So, let us all continue to pray for our Missionaries out there, that they can continue to Serve the Lord and teach so many others to luv the Gospel as we do! We luv you Elder Griffiths!

Fun in the Snow!

It has been brought to my attention that I failed to make an entry about our Super Dooper Day in the Snow! So here we go...We started out early with one truck pulling the trailer house and the other pulling the snowmobiles. We headed up to the top of Fairview and hit 942 ft. of snow! That is no exageration either. It was a Wintery Paradise! Butt freakin cold, but Beautiful just the same. We were all stocked with yummy treats and enough homemade chili to feed an army. It was great fun! We spent the whole day playing in the snow and hanging out in the trailer visiting. It is always fun and eventful when we have everybody together, especially crammed in the trailer with chili (if you get my drift). Anyway, check out some of the footage below. Chow!

Under the Big Top!

Okay, so I have to admit i've never been to a circus before, unless you count Circus Circus Hotel in Vegas. Our good friends Ashlee & Ellie gave Sophie and I tickets to go with them to the Circus for our birthdays. We had a really good time! Sophie was a little unsure about the clowns, but other than that she luved all the animals. Especially the Elephants! She is still talking about them! She got to eat yummy cotton candy for the first time ever too. We seen lots of cool tricks that the acrobats did and cute little white poodles dancing. It was so fun! Thanks Ashlee & Ellie!

She had this puzzled look on her face when the clowns would perform. It was so funny!

It's Official!

Pretty Flowers from Amy & Ryan! (there's a funny story behind that one)

I feel old! I have often heard people talking about when they hit a certain age, they have a tough time with it. That has never happened to me before. Until now! I would have to say that 35 has been a tough one. I am considered an older woman now. If you read anything having to do with a woman getting prego and they are the age 35 or older they are considered to be of Advanced Maternal Age! That screams old to me! Even though I have no intentions at this time to be pregnant, it means that if I did, I would be considered an older woman to bear chitlins! Boo Hoo! No, just kidding! I'm seriously okay with it. It's a bright cheery day today and a great day to start feeling younger, right? So if I start really acting like I wanna be 20 again, slap me upside the head. Don't fear, i'm not turning to elastic waist pants made of polyester quite yet. Luv you Mom! But seriously, if I start acting out, hit me, hit me hard! I just now realized, i'm only 5 years away from 40! Ugh!

On a happier note, I had a great day! I got spoiled! I had breakfast, lunch and dinner without having to lift a finger! It was Awesome! Thank You so much! I had the best, greasiest, homemade french fries drenched in salt for lunch and I didn't even feel bad about it. Well, until David gave me my presents and he got me a way cute outfit that doesn't fit as well as it should. But never fear, it didn't keep down to long. After the yummy barbecue chicken pizza from Pier49 and the Cake Batter ice cream cake from Coldstone, (if you know me well, you know those 2 things are my faves) I started to feel a little bad again. But like I said, what a great day it is today to start working on that. Well, I best be off. I'm on my way to spend my birthday mula! We are gonna hit the mall hard, so if you go and it looks a mess, it's cause Soph and I were there first. Love You All!

This is seriously the best Pizza! If you haven't tried it, you should!
