Fruits of my Labor.... or Veggies

Okay, so seriously....Gardening has become an OBSESSION! When I made the journey to the Greenhouses to buy my plants, I had no idea what to do or expect. The workers there were quite helpful, but a little misleading. I was under the impression to buy more, because some would surely die...apparently that's just how it happens when you plant things...you cross your fingers and pray they survive. That some crazy Utah weather Freeze in June doesn't occur, right? Well, I'm happy and proud to say that not ONE of my plants have died...(knock on wood). Seriously...I planted 16 tomato plants thinking if half of them died, I would still have enough to share, eat, and make Salsa. Well, I will have an abundance of Tomatoes...so for all you tomato lovers out there, I'll let you know when there red and juicy and bring you some. And if anyone is a fan of squash, zucchini, or peppers...every color and temperature level, you can have some of those too. I had no idea that one plant could multiply and produce several...I planted as though they would each produce a few. Well, a few dozen from each plant is what I'm afraid I'm going to get :)) Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled beyond belief! Such a proud moment in ones life when they see the fruits of there labor thriving...kinda like Little People....hummmmm

Summer Squash...my Favorite! :))
Look how cute.....

My first proud moment in my Garden...A cute Pepper :))

Meet "Duke" ...

WoW...It's been Soooooo Long since my last post that I don't even know where to begin! Life has definately been busy and Adventurous, that's for Sure :)) I will start with introducing a new little Addition to our Family...DUKE...He is an adorable mix of a Labrador Daddy and a Bassett Hound Mommy. He is a Bassador. He was born April 12, 2010. He was breach in delivery, so Momma "Kathy" had to go in after him and in the process his tail was broken. They took him to the vet and had it splinted, but his mommy didn't like the splint on her babe and kept taking it off. So, not only are his ears so droopy long that they get wet when he drinks, but when he takes off running his tail pops right up and shoots sideways. It is the cutest Stinkin thing i've layed my eyes upon. I seriously laughed so hard, I cried the first time i saw it. He is Yummy cute and the Sweetest little pup ever.

He is seriously so good. When we brought him home at 8 weeks, we were warned that he would spend the first few nights whining...so be prepared. Let's just say that the only reason he didn't sleep all night is because I woke up in a panic at 5 am, realizing that I hadn't been up all night with a whining pup and freaked out. That feeling of when your newborn babe sleeps through the night for the first time, and when you realize it you run to there bedside to make sure there still breathing. Sheer Panic! This baby had real power over me. . .Anyway, I ran to the truck barefoot and braless with my flashlight shining, only to find the cutest little puppy sleeping peacefully...until the flashlight hit the glass of the topper and startled him awake. Nice! Way to Go! Needless to say I spent the next 90 minutes snuggled with him on the back porch in the we early morning hours of a kinda chilly day. My own fault! He is the best Puppy ever....sleeps constantly, eats good, plays good, and poops in the same spot everytime. Love Him!
