Here Kitty, Kitty...

This is a new phrase that Sophie is picking up on really quickly. Some friends of ours cat just had kittens and Sophie is going nutzo over them. It is hilarious to watch her get so excited and squeal and bounce over these small creatures. Anyone who knows both David and I well, know that neither one of us are cat luvers. In fact I would go so far as to use the word "HATE", which describes my feelings for cats pretty well. I get the shivers when they rub up against my legs, UGH! Nasty! Anyway, we came in the house the other night from playing and Sophie went right up to David and said "Daddy, I wanna kitty cat", "Pleeese"! Total crack up moment, cause I had nothing to do with it and David knew it. He just about died, those big blue eyes and her pouty bottom lip threw him for a loop! His comment was "What do I do with that?" How does he tell his baby girl "no"? I had absolutly no problem telling her "noway, sista"! "not in this lifetime"! So we'll see how this one turns out. If I were a bettin man in Vegas, I'd bet we have a new feline living at our house within the next week or two!

The good thing about getting a kitty from next door is that it won't end up staying at your place much. As soon as it's big enough, it'll keep returning to it's "home". Maybe by then, the novelty will wear off for Sophie and it will be win-win for all! :)

Look how sweet and happy sophie is!I agree with brianna's comment... it is more fun to have the kitty at the neighbors house where she can play with it and it's more a novelty... otherwise she would probably get sick of it after a while and mommy the "kitty hater" would be stuck taking care of it :)

I'm with you on the cat thing. NASTY. Stay strong. Don't give in. They are only cute for a minute.
